Like every other sports betting company in the country, FanDuel has its fair share of Super Bowl offer and promos to entice new gamblers to sign up with them for the Big Game, including 55-1 odds on the winner if you live in one of the 10 states where the company operates as a mobile sports gambling provider.
But Matt King, the company’s CEO, said that customers should expect the same thing on Super Bowl Sunday that they’d get in any normal day with FanDuel, where the product is mainly fan focused.
“What we do is we put out lots of markets,” King said. “We’re the only sports betting operator with same game parlay products, so people can combine any number of events that go on within the game to really create infinite betting options that let them express exactly what they think is gonna happen in really fun and exciting ways. And so from my perspective, win or lose, as long as it’s a good game, we know the fans are gonna have a great time. And that’s what matters to us.”
Flutter Entertainment, the Irish conglomerate that’s the parent company of FanDuel, Paddy Power, Betfair and others, saw 3rd quarter revenue grow 30% in November. A few weeks later Flutter dramatically increased its stake in FanDuel, paying $4.175 billion to purchase Fastball’s 37.2% stake in the company and increase its own total to 95%, according to a December Forbes report.
“The transaction was just an expression in their belief in the potential for the U.S. market and their support for the strategy that we’ve been employing for the last few years,” said King, who became FanDuel’s CEO in November, 2017. “Flutter’s been a really great partner of ours since 2018 and we’ve benefited from the global affiliation.”

But Flutter, King added, recognizes the importance of a keyed in local presence to winning in the booming sports betting marketplace. Legal sports betting is now operational in 20 states and Washington D.C., with plenty more on the horizon as part of the gold rush to increase state revenues after the Supreme Court struck down a law banning sports gambling in most states back in 2018.
The biggest domino expected to fall in 2021 is the long-awaited approval of legalized mobile sports betting in New York. That longstanding effort now has the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and is expected to be approved by state lawmakers in the coming weeks and months to help offset a budget deficit in the billions due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cuomo is hoping to generate hundreds of millions in revenue from legal sports betting after neighboring New Jersey had nearly $1 billion in betting handle in December alone, generating $7.6 million in tax revenue for the month.
“We obviously do see from our New Jersey data that there’s a ton of demand from New Yorkers to play,” said King, whose company currently operates a retail betting location at Tioga Downs Casino Resort upstate in Nichols, N.Y. “Most of the people that drive over the bridge or go through the tunnel to New Jersey to place bets prefer to do that from New York. So we would be excited about giving our customers easier access to the products that they love.”

As more states continue to legalize or consider legalizing sports betting in some form in 2021 and beyond, King is trying to utilize FanDuel and Flutter’s decades of experience in horse racing, online casinos and daily fantasy sports to help ensure that the company is not just first in the market in these areas, but also that things are done correctly and in accordance with state and local laws and guidelines. He’s also of the belief that the appetite for sports betting was always there. But now that states are able to legalize and regulate sports gambling, it’s proof in King’s mind that the illegal and offshore market has been so massive for so long.
What he and FanDuel are now focused on is balancing the business’ growth with investing heavily in product, tech, the customer base and areas like compliance and responsible gaming. For King, the biggest obstacle for growth is the same thing as what’s going to drive it: The continued adoption of sports betting across the U.S.
The North Carolina State graduate is pleased with the momentum he’s seeing in various state houses, but is trying to be patient as lawmakers go through the process of drawing up, debating and passing common sense legislation that makes sense for both the voters and helps drive revenue for the states and the approved betting providers.
“What people fail to realize is that for the regulators, a lot of times it’s their first online product they’re ever regulating,” King said. “And we work in partnership with the regulators to make sure the right infrastructure and regulations get put in place from day one. And that process just takes time.”
Aside from the growing number of states passing sports betting legislation, the biggest change in the landscape in 2021 in King’s mind is the expansion of sports betting into the national conversation about the sports themselves. While some teams, leagues, networks and outlets have embraced conversation— including TNT’s integration with FanDuel for its flagship Thursday night NBA broadcasts— some networks like CBS VIAC with its NFL coverage for the Super Bowl are still shying away from overt references and conversations surrounding a subject that is still taboo for many across the country.
“I think people have seen how sports betting enriches the fan experience and the narrative around sports, even if those people aren’t betting themselves,” King said, without referencing to or calling out any network or outlet in particular. “This isn’t just about talking about who somebody’s picks are. I think there’s an incredible amount of richness and data in what’s going on in terms of who people are betting on, how lines are changing that just provides additional content for the broadcasters to talk about. We’re starting to really show people examples of how sports betting information can help them tell better stories. That’s really when the light bulb goes off.”
FanDuel’s success in the marketplace has some proverbial light bulbs going off in people’s minds about a possible IPO or spinoff for the company, bringing it public like competitors DraftKings or Penn National Gaming PENN . But King said going public is neither here nor there at this point.
“It isn’t an indicator of whether something’s a good business or not,” he said.
From King’s perspective, he said FanDuel is still in the early stage of the market, focused on the product, the customer base and the brand.
“And frankly, whether or not you’re public or private doesn’t really matter,” he added matter-of-factly. “It doesn’t change the tools in your toolbox, and it doesn’t change the need to really just have the best product in the market. And so we’re just focused on kind of building the best business that we can regardless of being public or private.”
And right now, building the best business for King and FanDuel is trying to seize this unique moment in time as state after state passes legislation that eager sports bettors have awaited for so very long.

The diversity of members has increased the feasibility of the sports betting industry online and has created one of the chief and most commanding online sectors. These sports betting websites turn over billions of dollars every year and are growing more and more every day.
What if I told you that you could make money as a sports betting affiliate without ever risking even a penny of your own money? It’s true. There are literally thousands of sports betting websites all vying for a piece of the pie. The big money is not only being made by the facilitators of the sports betting websites, but rather by an affiliate system. The sports betting affiliate program is evident on most of the sports betting and gambling websites. What do they have to lose? Twenty percent of how much ever much money your clientele spends. That leaves the sports betting website 80 percent of the pie, which in turn equals cheap advertising and marketing for them, and possibly mega bucks for you.
As your paying referred clientele list grows with the sports betting affiliate program, so will your earnings. Think about it—if you have 10 people who spend $100 dollars a month at the sports betting website, you have earned yourself $200 with very little work. If you have 50 paying referrals who each spend $250 a month—at 20 percent you have just earned yourself $2,500 for simply directing traffic from your website to sign up on a sports betting site.
What’s more, you have nothing to lose and money to gain. Even if your referred clients win big throughout the month, most sports betting affiliate programs do not carry over a negative balance. The more of your own advertising you do for the company, the sweeter your own rewards will be. What are you waiting for? The time to act is now—it is never too late to get a piece of this fast-growing evolution in gambling.

There was all sorts of progressive staking systems , martingale systems, stop at a winner systems, progressive laying systems. The fact was though that none of these betting systems held up to any long term analysis and would normally blow your bank if you followed them for long enough.
But after researching a bit longer I found a few betting systems that did actually work.
Here are four betting systems that I have used over the years.

Proven Betting System 1 – Arbitrage Betting.

Sports Arbitrage betting is something that I still use on the occasion as part of my portfolio . Arbitrage betting involves covering every outcome of an event. In order to guarantee a profit no matter the outcome.

There is a 3.7% arbitrage bet between The New Saints and Bala in the Welsh division.

Given that the odds at sharp bookmakers and betting exchanges are quite efficient in big markets. The betting exchanges and sharp Asian bookmakers often offer close to the true odds of an event. Sometimes when there is odds movement on these events soft bookmakers will be slow to move their odds.
Consistently betting on odds above the Asian bookmakers and betting exchanges has proven to be profitable.
The advantage that value betting has over arbitrage betting is that you generate a much higher turnover and use lower stakes which may make your accounts last longer then conventional arbitrage betting.
A lot of bookmakers will also offer value accumulators often on a weekly basis as part of odds boosts or special promotions.
Negatives of value betting?
Again the only downside to consistently taking value bets is that soft bookmakers will eventually see that you are able to make money from them and will limit or close your account.
However if you plan to make money from sports betting. Getting banned from soft bookmakers is going to happen whichever way you choose to make money from them.
Proven Betting System 3 – Matched Betting.
The popularity of matched betting has exploded in the last few years and with good reason.
Matched betting is probably one the best and easiest ways to generate a good second income online. It involves taking advantage of bookmaker offers to guarantee a profit much like arbitrage.
The big advantage that matched betting has over arbitrage is that is a lot less obvious and harder for bookmaker’s employed traders to spot.

Negatives of matched betting?
There isn’t many downsides to matched betting. Bookmakers will stop giving you promotions eventually. But as discussed before this is what happens when you become a profitable sports bettor.
So there you have 3 proven betting systems that are currently working in 2020. Which should also prove be profitable in the long term.
Each of these betting systems involve exploiting soft bookmakers.
This is really the best way to start making money from the sports betting markets and allows you to build up a nice trading bankroll or good second income.
Proven Betting System 4 – Betting On Team News.
One proven betting strategy that you might know is reacting quickly to team news.
Odds can rapidly change on the basis of team news, if you have a good knowledge of the teams that are playing.
Then you will often be able to secure yourself a value bet.
Here is a good example of how odds can change when a teams lineup is announced.
In this example I have highlighted the point at which team news was announced.
This was a Europa League between Arsenal and Standard Liege.
Arsenal announced a weaker side then expected, from this news the odds on Arsenal drifted quite significantly before the game started.
If you were familiar with the teams and reacted to the information you would have been able to secure yourself a value bet on Standard Liege. Due to the fact that Arsenal’s odds were drifting so the odds on the draw and Standard Liege would have to shorten.

I’ve been a Las Vegas oddsmaker and sports gaming expert for four decades-long before I became known as a nationally syndicated conservative talk show host. I understand odds and gambling in a way that no other conservative media personality, host, or politician in this country could.
And I can tell you something is very wrong with this presidential election. It reminds me of a fixed football game. Remember the famous fixed 1978 game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants quarterback handed the ball off. The running back didn’t want it. It fell on the ground. Herm Edwards of the Eagles picked it up and ran it into the end zone with seconds left for a last second victory. Every bettor in the world knows that game was fixed. It doesn’t matter if you can prove it. We all know.
Gamblers also feel the same way about this presidential election. This presidential election is rancid. It feels as fixed as that Giants-Eagles NFL football game. Let me give you the details of this election- from a gambler’s perspective.
Trump entered the night a 2 to 1 underdog. As soon as the polls started to close, and the picture became clear, Trump’s odds quickly moved to even money. Then Trump became the slight favorite. Then a moderate favorite. Then a 2-to-1 favorite. Then 3 to 1. 4 to 1. 5 to 1. 6 to 1. 7 to 1. Finally, Trump moved to 8 to 1 favorite.
What does all this mean? Bettors putting their money on the line during Election Night have always proven to be deadly accurate. Smart bettors can clearly see what direction a race is taking. Bettors around the world clearly saw what I saw when they stared at the electoral map- Trump was headed for an electoral landslide. But something wasn’t quite right. Fox News wouldn’t call Florida for Trump- even though he was ahead by a mile. They wouldn’t call Ohio- even though Trump was ahead by a mile. They wouldn’t call Texas- even though Trump was ahead by a mile. I sat there, screaming at my television.
More strange calls. Fox News had called Virginia for Biden at the start of the night- with Trump well ahead in Virginia. Trump would remain ahead in Virginia for three long hours after Fox awarded the electoral votes to Biden. Why would they do that? What was the rush? It made no sense.
Biden was awarded Virginia with Trump ahead. But Trump was ahead by a mile in Florida, Ohio, and Texas, yet Fox News refused to award him the electoral votes. I knew at that moment, something was wrong. Something smelled fishy. Something was rotten in the DC Swamp.Bettors witnessed Trump dominating. He clearly won not only those key states of Florida, Ohio, and Texas, but Trump also enjoyed large leads in the entire Midwest- Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa. It was all but over. Trump had an electoral landslide. Hence the massive 8 to 1 odds in favor of Trump.
And then it happened. It was the most bizarre call in Election Night history. Fox News called Arizona for Biden. Why? It wasn’t even close to over. There was no reason on earth to make that call. Arizona is STILL not over 8 days later. CNN still hasn’t awarded Arizona. ABC pulled it back from Biden only 24 hours ago.
Why would Fox News be in such a rush to call Arizona for Biden? At that moment, Trump’s odds crashed almost instantly from 8 to 1, back down to 2 to 1. That drop set off alarm bells. My friend, who is one of the biggest bookmakers in the country, called me to say, “Wayne, something is wrong. I’ve never seen a drop like that, let alone a drop that fast. How can Trump go from 8 to 1 to 2 to 1? Someone knows something. We’ve got a problem.”
It was as if someone had decided in advance to give Arizona to Biden- whether he won it or not. It was as if the secret code was known to only a few billionaire gamblers, “Fox News awards Arizona to Biden.” Six magic words. Someone was ready for that call. Someone waited until Trump was a prohibitive 8 to 1 favorite, then knew to bet millions of dollars on Biden at the longest odds of the night. Someone knew the fix was in. Someone made a fortune.
There’s more to the story. First, by awarding both Virginia and Arizona to Biden way too early in the evening and also going super slow awarding states to Trump where he led by a mile, Fox News made sure Biden had the electoral lead all night. That’s another big part of the story. Just like the fake pollsters suppressed Trump voters for months in advance of the election with polls falsely showing Trump losing by a landslide, fake “news desk” employees sure appeared to be suppressing Trump votes on Election Night. And also creating an air of invincibility for Biden. If Biden led in every poll before the election and led all night in electoral votes, then it wouldn’t look like a fix was in when Biden suddenly wound up the winner the morning after. Right?
One more piece of the puzzle. From almost the moment that secret code “Fox News awards Arizona to Biden” was spoken, three key Midwest battleground states with Democrat Governors all decided to stop counting votes for the night, with Trump way ahead. Why? Why all three, at the same time? Like they were coordinated in advance. Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania all mysteriously quit counting around midnight.
To add to the idea of a fix, these states merely claimed they were stopping counting for the night. After TV cameras and Republican poll watchers were all sent home, these Democrat states all resumed counting, suddenly finding all the ballots they needed to overcome large Trump leads.
I actually took screenshots before I went to bed. Trump was winning Michigan by over 300,000 votes when they stopped counting. He was up in Wisconsin by over 100,000. In Pennsylvania, he was up almost 700,000 votes. But in the wee hours of the morning, I took a new screenshot. Suddenly Biden was up by 9,000 in Wisconsin and 30,000 in Michigan. How’d that happen? I thought they stopped counting?
It all started with that bizarre Arizona call by Fox News.
Folks, someone knew. The fix was in. A few key people made millions betting on this election. They knew the exact minute to jump in. They knew exactly when a Trump landslide would turn to a Biden victory, with the help of a fake TV network call and fake ballots.
They knew Arizona was going to be called way too early. They knew that fake Arizona call would trigger vote counting to stop and massive ballot fraud to begin.
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will decide. But bettors all over the world know in our guts exactly what happened. The fix was in, no different than that famous NY Giants-Philadelphia Eagle fix in 1978 at the Meadowlands.
Trump was robbed. This election was stolen.


Ron Paul Gambling.
ItВ’s interesting that Paul, who has raised about $7.5 million this year, is dramatically increasing in betting price while Barack Obama, who has raised more than 10 times that number.

As a professional trader and someone who thinks about electoral politics a lot, I thought my friend must be wrong, but upon further inspection he wasn’t. Not only is Ron Paul trading today just under 9%, but he’s trading above Fred Thompson (7.6%), John McCain (7.1%), and Mike Huckabee (6.4%). [Click HERE to see the latest intrade markets. The prices go from 1 to 100, with 1 representing 10 cents and 100 therefore being $10. Whoever becomes the nominee “settles” at 100, and everyone else “goes to zero. So, if you buy Ron Paul at 8.5, you can lose 85 cents or make $9.15, before commissions.]
The idea of Ron Paul having roughly a 9% chance of becoming the GOP’s nominee strikes me as unjustifiably high, even with the news that Congressman Paul just set a one-day GOP fundraising record and a one-day online fundraising record, raising more $4.2 million on Monday. The idea that he has a better chance than Fred Thompson is even sillier. And yet it’s possible to bet quite a lot of money at these levels if one were so inclined and able.
Political betting has a very good record of predicting outcomes, such if you look at 2004 and 2006 election results as compared to betting site prices immediately before the election. According to one report, TradeSports (former home of intrade’s political betting) got 48 states right in the Bush-Kerry election in 2004. TradeSports bettors also got every Senate race correct in 2006 though TradeSports participants got Senate control wrong, with GOP retaining control trading over 50% until well into Election Day evening. (It sounds contradictory, but it’s similar to a football team expected to be a favorite in every game they play but still being less than 50/50 to go undefeated for the season.)
But the key to this astounding “accuracy” is that the statistics most frequently discussed are gathered by looking at the prices just before the election, i.e. at the point when the most poll data is out, when the largest number of people have made their decisions (and spoken to their friends about their decisions, and the most people are actually participating in the betting.
A recent study shows that while manipulations in these markets may be possible, such “attacks” tend to last only a few minutes. However, thinly traded markets can move wildly, emotionally, and beyond “reason” whether it’s a stock or a bet on a politician, and without it representing manipulation. For example, look at this chart of prices for Fred Thompson getting the GOP nod going from about 15 in May to 35 in July to 7.5 today.
Or the betting on Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee, showing a decline in July (when Obama-hype was at its peak), and then a steady rally to the 70s, still lower than what I believe the real probability is.
In the charts, you can see volatile spikes in both short-term and medium-term trading. It is both these sorts of spikes and the ability of a contract to move substantially in price when “experts” don’t believe anything of significance has happened which makes these markets interesting. It also makes the reported “accuracy” of these markets today much less meaningful despite their good record very close to election time.
My guess is that Ron Paul’s high price on betting sites and his recent fund-raising feat represent a phenomenon we saw four years ago, well represented by a Village Voice headline: “Howard Dean, Internet Rock Star”. Just as Ron Paul’s web site is reported to get roughly nine times the “hits” of the second closest candidate for president (Sen. Clinton), Howard Dean used the internet to generate massive buzz…and massive funds. However, Dean came in third in Iowa, and then just one month after losing what seemed to be a huge New Hampshire lead following “the scream” he dropped out of the race, “rock star” or not.
Although one can’t re-live a parallel 2004 without the scream, I believe Dean would have faded anyway. People who are highly active on the internet are likely to be young and therefore less likely than other citizens to vote. Getting thousands of members in an online group and even raising real money from many online donors is not the same as getting people to the ballot box…especially in primary elections, where typically it’s the most highly motivated “base” of the party who votes.
Despite the impressiveness of his internet achievement, Ron Paul simply can’t get enough voters in GOP primaries to have any real chance despite the very real enthusiasm of his “online base.” It’s interesting that Paul, who has raised about $7.5 million this year, is dramatically increasing in betting price while Barack Obama, who has raised more than 10 times that number…also mostly online from far more donors than Paul has…is trading at his lowest price in a year.
My prediction: Ron Paul’s betting odds and presidential run will follow a similar trajectory to the two Democrat “internet rock stars”. And my money is where my mouth/keyboard is.

The Los Angeles Lakers have the best record in the NBA at 11-4 straight up and 8-7 against the spread. They are the current betting favorite to defend their title and win the NBA championship again in 2021.
They have also received excellent production from newcomers like Dennis Schroder (14.8 points and 4.7 assists per game) and Montrezl Harrell (14.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game). As long as LeBron James and Anthony Davis remain healthy, the Lakers are going to be tough to beat.
